Farm Credit of the Virginias Offers Charging Stations and Resources in Wytheville and Abingdon
Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a lending cooperative that serves Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland, announced its Wytheville and Abingdon branch offices will offer charging stations and resources to the public in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
As farmers and rural communities throughout southwest Virginia face ongoing power outages as a result of Hurricane Helene, FCV invites members of the community to their Wytheville and Abingdon branch offices to charge their devices and access resources. Individuals are encouraged to bring their mobile devices, tablets, laptops, etc. and their power cables. In addition to charging stations, bottled water, snacks and flashlights will be available at each location, as well as a water refill station (up to 5 gallons per household). The Wytheville and Abingdon branch community rooms will be open to the public to take advantage of these resources (while supplies last) during the following dates and times:
Tuesday, October 1, 12 PM - 4 PM
Wednesday, October 2, 9 AM - 4 PM
Thursday, October 3, 9 AM - 4 PM
Friday, October 4, 9 AM - 4 PM
